There is a lot of good music and songs out there that remain hidden to many people. The objective of this blog is to inform as many people as possible about this “great obscure and anonymous music”. Some or many of you may have listened to these albums and songs but to many others they remain undiscovered and hidden. I am not trying to let down the fans of these artistes or denigrate the performers in any way. Instead I will consider my mission accomplished even if a few readers were to sample the music mentioned and reviewed on this blog and discover the great joy in listening to these artistes. In this world of music these bands and musicians deserve much more than a dedicated listen or a mention on this blog.
About Me
I am Subash and I run and maintain great-anonymous-albums.com. I am a Software guy and after several years of programming I turned to Technical Writing and Writing in general for a career. I have been an avid blogger since September 2005 when I started my personal blog Subash’s World on Blogger. I started a second blog using Blogger, Madras Bee on the latest music from India in December that same year. I retired this blog in March, 2009. In April, 2006 I started great-anonymous-albums.com using WordPress after buying the domain and a web hosting service. In November, 2008 I started guitar-appreciation.com my blog on my favorite musical instrument. I plan to start more blogs but these will naturally take their time.
I have been actively listening to all sorts of music for several decades now and for blogging, writing about music was obviously my first choice. My other big pastime is watching movies (English and Indian (Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam)). I also write reviews of movies on Amazon.com but I hope to start a blog containing my movie reviews too. Meanwhile feel free to comment on the posts on my blog. I don’t request for e-mail ids but if you do provide them I will respect your privacy and you can be sure that you’ll never be spammed.
